All session content is AES-256 encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed and unreadable. Sessions use signed tokens stored in httpOnly cookies. A data processing addendum is available for organizations that require one.

Common questions

Is Unloop a replacement for therapy or an EAP?
No. Unloop is a coaching and self-awareness tool. It is designed to complement professional care, not replace it. For employees in active therapy, it extends the work between sessions. For employees who would never seek therapy, it offers something they would otherwise never access.
Can our employees really trust that we cannot see their sessions?
Yes. Session content is AES-256 encrypted and we have no mechanism to expose individual sessions to any organization. This is stated explicitly in our licensing agreement. Your employees are told this clearly when they sign up. It is the reason they use it.
What does rollout look like for HR?
We handle it. You receive a unique access code, a set of ready-to-send communication templates, and a brief onboarding call if you want one. There is nothing for IT to install or configure. Most clients are live within 24 hours of signing.
What if someone is in crisis?
Unloop has a three-level crisis detection system. If an employee expresses language indicating immediate danger, the session pauses and prominent crisis resources appear, including 988, the Crisis Text Line, and emergency services. Unloop is not a crisis intervention tool, but it will always direct someone in danger toward real help.
Is a BAA available?
Yes. A Business Associate Agreement is available for organizations that require one. Contact us and we will provide it alongside the licensing agreement.
Can we run a pilot before committing to a full year?
Yes. A structured 90-day pilot with a defined employee group is available. We provide aggregate usage data at the end of the pilot period. Pilots are offered at the founding partner rate.
