When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed (encrypted) version of your password. We do not store your password in readable form. You may optionally provide your first name.
During sessions, we store the text of your conversations with the AI coach, any pattern insights generated, and session metadata such as dates and phases completed. We do not record or store audio of your voice. Audio is transcribed in real time and the audio file is discarded immediately after transcription.
Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. All data is associated with your account and is not accessible to other users.
Unloop uses a small number of industry-leading external services to operate core features such as AI responses, voice audio, and speech transcription. Each service processes data in real time only and does not retain your session content for training or any other purpose under our usage agreements. No third-party provider receives personally identifying information. They receive only the minimum data needed to complete their specific function.
We may use de-identified session content to improve the quality and accuracy of our AI over time. Before any content is used this way, we remove information that could identify you, such as your name, email address, and other details that point to a specific person. We do not train our AI on content that identifies you.
Unloop is a coaching and self-reflection tool. It is not a licensed medical or mental health provider, and your coach is not a doctor or therapist. Because of this, the legal protections that apply to communications with a licensed clinician, including doctor-patient and therapist-patient privilege, do not apply to your use of Unloop. We keep your session content private as described in this policy, but that content does not carry the legal privilege that protects communications with a licensed provider.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from your Profile page. Upon deletion, your session content, messages, and personal information are removed from our systems. You may also request a copy of your data by contacting us directly.
Active account data is retained for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted within 30 days. We do not retain session content after account deletion.
Unloop is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
When Unloop is deployed under an organizational or tribal license, individual user data remains private and is not accessible to the licensing organization. Session content is never shared with employers, tribal administrators, or program staff. Aggregate usage statistics (such as total number of sessions) may be made available to licensing organizations without identifying individual users.
We will notify registered users by email if we make material changes to this privacy policy.
